It’s your “churn” to come to the zoo!
- Woodland Park Zoo hosts Tillamook® Cheese Day -

WHAT: In celebration of 100 years of fresh Tillamook cheese made right here in the Northwest, Tillamook® and Woodland Park Zoo present the first ever Tillamook Cheese Day at the zoo! Loafy, the newest Tillamook mascot, will greet visitors as they sample savory cheese at the zoo’s South Plaza. Then head to the zoo’s Family Farm to take a photo with Tillie the cow: don’t forget to smile and say “cheeeeese.” Kids can play “Toss the Beanie Cow” to win a prize, and to top off the “udder-ly” amazing day visitors can also guess the number of beanie cows in a box for a chance to win a year’s supply of Tillamook Cheese! Plus: Don’t miss delicious, limited-edition Tillamook® cheeseburgers for sale on zoo grounds. Come visit your favorite farm animals and celebrate the farmer owned cooperative’s 100th birthday!

WHEN: Saturday, Aug. 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: Activities take place in the zoo’s South Plaza and Family Farm, located near the South Entrance at N. 50th Street and Fremont Ave. N.

COST: Free with zoo admission or membership. Admission prices (May 1 – September 30): Adult (13-64) $16.50; Child (3-12) $11.00’ Toddler (0-2) FREE.

INFO: The 100-year-old Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA) has earned a reputation as one of the nation’s premier brands of cheese and dairy. Tillamook Cheese is a national marketer of naturally aged cheddar and a variety of other premier dairy products.
